Little Sister Told She’s Paying Hotel Bill, Her Response Is Everything

A Texan woman’s prank on her younger sister has gone viral, with social media users in stitches at the response she received from her sibling.

On a trip to Dallas with her younger sister, Caroline Isaacs decided to pretend that her card had been declined when trying to pay the $550 bill.

“Me and my sister kind of are always messing with each other,” Isaacs told Newsweek. “I had just taken her to Disney World, and I noticed she didn’t pay for anything there.”

“So when we went to Dallas that weekend, I just had a feeling she didn’t expect to pay for anything there, too,” she added.

Staycations have increased in popularity in recent years, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when international travel was restricted. According to Statista, 26 percent of U.S. adults had a staycation during the pandemic.

Isaacs captured her prank in a video that she posted on TikTok. In the clip, which has received more than 13 million views in a matter of days, she can be heard telling her sister that her card was declined and asking her sibling if she had a working card. “I have $6,” her sister responds.

“Oh to be the younger sister. Showing up on vacation with $6,” Isaacs wrote in the video’s caption.

She told Newsweek: “When I told her it declined, I was shocked to realize she only had $6. I thought for sure she’d have at least $50!

“When I rewatched the video, and seeing how it went viral, I did feel bad for giving her a slight anxiety attack. Me and all my sisters have a group chat, and we’ve been poking fun at her since I pranked her, with love of course.”

Issacs’ video received more than 11,000 comments, with some viewers finding humor in it and others being moved by the close relationship between the sisters.

“It’s a sense of security to know you’re taken care of by your big sister,” one wrote.

Another added: “I just sent this to my sister. I am the little sister.”

“This is so beautiful! She went on vacay with $6 because she knows you’re going to take care of her always,” a user commented.

“As the oldest sister I am laughing way too hard at this,” another said.

“Please as the youngest sister please don’t do this,” a commenter added. “I will cry on the spot and call our mom.”
