Simone Biles Poses in a Pink Mini Bustier Dress, Igniting Online Buzz: ‘Dress Is Doing Her No Favors’
|Gymnast Simone Biles recently sparked a range of reactions amongst social media users because of her attire at a Vanity Fair cover shoot. Although fans and fashion enthusiasts weighed in their thoughts on Biles’ outfits, the athlete remains influential, with many followers admiring and praising her.
Simone Biles recently graced Vanity Fair magazine’s cover as she posed elegantly. In her photo, Biles took a powerful stance with her hands on her hips, emphasizing her muscular physique.
She paired her mini pink bustier dress by Rick Owens with sandals by Guiseppe Zanotti, creating an elegant ensemble. However, the creative dress was not to everyone’s liking. Many social media users and fashion enthusiasts focused on her bold fashion choice and shared their thoughts in the comments section.
Some expressed that the dress was “doing her no favors” as it looked like “someone wrapped a handkerchief around a woman.” Others compared the dress to a “giant scrunchie,” “bedsheet,” and “bath towel.”
Although the dress was criticized, Instagram users could not deny Biles her beauty. “She is such a beautiful woman,” one person said, noting that Biles’ stylists could have chosen a different piece of clothing.
“She deserves so much better. She’s queen,” another commenter said. Other social media users described Biles as “stunning” and highlighted how her beauty looked “unreal.”
Admittedly, fashion was not Biles’ priority. Her journey from the gymnastics mat to the fashion world has been interesting. “I’m a wedge girl, but I just started getting into heels,” she said in 2016 while outside a Vera Wang show. “Most of the time, I’m in a leotard, so I’m just getting into fashion.”

Interestingly, Biles has used her leotards to contribute to a good cause. The champion gymnast previously auctioned one of her signed garments on eBay to raise money for her parents’ venture, The Academy, at the World Champions Centre.
The school gave families in need help to have their athletic children receive an excellent academic education. The auction became a unique and memorable occasion for Simone Biles, who also trains as an Olympian in her parents’ gym.
