Owner Fires Waitress Who Sheltered Dog in Cafe, Mops Floor in Her Own Vet Clinic Later – Story of the Day

No one is going to hire me now! A young girl thought to herself after her boss fired her. She was poor and desperately needed a job to make ends meet, but she had no idea that the man who fired her would soon work for her.

Kelly was an energetic young woman, an animal lover, and a kind human. She enjoyed spending time with cats and dogs at animal shelters and bought them treats once a month.

After her parents passed away, the 24-year-old couldn’t continue studying at college. Instead, she dropped out midway and worked as a waitress at a local restaurant to make ends meet.

Her salary didn’t allow her to afford luxuries, but whenever she saved a few bucks at the end of the month, she would use them to buy dog treats. The young woman thrived on watching her furry friend’s eyes lighten up with joy whenever she would feed them.

One day, Kelly was at work when she saw a dog sitting outside the restaurant while it was snowing. “Oh my God! He must be freezing!” Kelly said while she rushed outside to see him.

While she was feeding her new furry friend, her manager, Luke, who also owned the restaurant, stood in front of her and folded his arms on his chest.

“What do you think you are doing here?” he asked sternly.

“This dog was freezing in the snow outside, sir,” Kelly explained. “I brought him in to make him feel better.”

“I’m tired of hiring waitresses like you who don’t pay attention to their work!”

“I’ll drop him at the animal shelter, sir. Don’t worry,” Kelly assured him.
