Store Guard Catches Girl Stealing, Learns She Must Be Saved From Her Parents – Story of the Day

A security guard falls head over heels in love with a beautiful young girl he caught shoplifting from the store. He was ready to climb mountains and bring down the skies to be her man, but would he be able to save her from her parents?

Jamie hailed from a middle-class family of farmers. He was the youngest of three brothers and dreamed of starting a hotel business. He then moved to New York with nothing more than a suitcase, some money his parents gave him after selling their cattle, and a bigger dream.

The 26-year-old worked as a security guard at a grocery during the day and as a bouncer in a pub at night. One evening, just as Jamie was close to finishing his shift at the grocery, he saw a suspicious young girl in a hoodie wandering into the store…

Jamie assumed she was a customer. But something didn’t seem right when he saw her looking around to see if someone was watching her. Jamie eyed her and saw her pocket a handful of chocolate bars and candies before rushing for the exit.

“Lady, hey, wait right there,” Jamie blocked her way. “Please come with me to the security room.”

Jamie was as polite as possible because he did not want to make a scene and shame the girl in front of everyone. “Come with me,” he told her.

The girl realized she was caught red-handed and quietly followed him, tears streaming down her cheeks. She began to weep bitterly and pleaded with Jamie to let her go. “Please don’t call the cops. I’ll do anything you ask. Please let me go.”

“I will let you go, but only if you tell me why you stole those chocolates and if you promise not to steal again. C’mon, tell me… Why did you pocket them?”

The girl calmed down, and when she took off her hoodie, Jamie froze. He felt giddy and had butterflies in his belly. He had never seen a breathtaking ethereal beauty like her. Her blue eyes glistened with tears under the moonlight, sparkling like two little oceans. How Jamie only wished he could dive into her eyes and drown.

Violins played a love song in his heart when the moon’s silver streaks illuminated her face, setting his heart on fire. He could not hear anything but her sweet voice, and he didn’t want to look away from her eyes. She was so captivating, and Jamie lost his heart to her then and there.

“My name is Beverly. I’m eighteen and just finished school,” said the girl, snapping Jamie to his senses. “I am a part-time janitor there because I need money to feed my two younger sisters.”
