‘The Car You’ve Just Wiped Is Yours!’ Poor Janitor Hears From Son He Didn’t See for 8 Years – Story of the Day
Steve was a cleaner at a car dealership and a single parent to his son, Adam. After Adam left his father to pursue his dreams, Steve felt his job was all he had. However, his son would later return with more than Steve could have ever dreamed of.
Steve worked as a cleaner for a luxury car dealership for the last 12 years of his job. Steve loved and appreciated his job. He was passionate about cars, so every day at work with luxury cars was a genuine pleasure.
He was a single father to his son, Adam. While his job didn’t pay much, it helped him raise his son and send him to school. After Adam graduated from college, Steve tried to get him a job at the dealership.

Steve had even persuaded his boss to give Adam a sales manager position at the dealership. Adam was grateful for his father’s efforts, but his heart was not truly in the job. He had ambitions of his own, hoping to one day open a business.
Adam worked at the dealership for a couple of months but soon felt it was time for him to walk his own path. He had applied to a course to further his studies in business management within the city.

He planned to enroll in the course while working closely with a friend who also lived in the city to start their business. Adam knew his leaving would break his father’s heart, but he had to start paving his way.
“I really hope you understand, dad. I’m grateful for this opportunity. I really am. But this is not for me. I need to be my own man and carve out my own path,” Adam earnestly explained to a downhearted Steve.
“After all that I’ve gone through to get you this job, Adam,” Steve said, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. Then he asked, “You sure this is what you want? Starting a business is no easy feat, and this is a really good job,” Steve added.

“I know, dad. And I’m grateful for all your efforts. Not just the job but everything. I know you’ve worked tirelessly to provide me every opportunity. And I know what I’m trying to do won’t be easy. But God will make a way, and your lessons will carry me through,” Adam said warmly.
“I can’t say I’m happy about this. But I respect your decision, son,” Steve concluded, embracing his son.
It had been 8 years since Adam left to pursue his dream. Steve and his son spoke over the phone whenever they got the chance, and Steve missed him dearly.
