Becky’s husband, Frank, never supported her dreams and wanted her to be a stay-at-home mother. One day, everything changed for Frank when the only person he could turn to for help was Becky.
Becky met Frank when she had just finished her marketing degree at college. Frank played college football at the time and was hoping to play professionally. Unfortunately, Frank’s football dream didn’t work out, and he ended up working as a mechanic in his father’s old shop.
Even though Frank was a bit rough around the edges, he also had a softer side which he only showed his loved ones. But Becky also knew Frank was old-fashioned and stuck in his ways. Becky came from a poor background but always knew how to hustle for a buck.
She paid her way through college by selling homemade cakes and biscuits on campus. She always dreamed of opening her own bakery franchise. “I want to call it BBs. It stands for Becky Bakes,” Becky told Frank. At first, he had no problem with the idea and was also a fan of Becky’s cakes.

The kitchen is a woman’s office!” he replied. Becky was left disappointed. All she wanted was to have the support of her husband and try something new.
She always knew that her husband was quite conservative, but she just wanted to make some extra money to provide for her children. I can still make this work, Becky thought. Secretly, she began selling baking and selling cakes to some of their neighbors while Frank was at work.

She began to make healthy profits and opened a savings account. Her neighbor, Julia, insisted that she start a legitimate business and even offered to help her bring in clients. “Well, unfortunately, Frank sees me more of a stay-at-home mom, so I’m not sure he’d be happy with that,” Becky admitted to Julia.
“What is this? The 1940s? Trust me, Becky, those will sell like hotcakes. Excuse the pun,” Julia replied.
Becky knew that Julia was right. As a family, Becky, Frank, and the kids were already living cheque-to-cheque. Frank...
