The bereaved husband of fashion influencer Jennifer Soares Martins has spoken out about her death, which occurred in the early hours of November 24.
A woman named Jennifer Soares Martins, known for being a fashion influencer on social media, tragically lost her life at 28 after she was swept away by a flash flood on Sunday, November 24. According to CNN Brazil, the flood occurred as a result of heavy rain that struck the municipality of Uberlândia in the Triângulo Mineiro region of Brazil.
The outlet states that on behalf of the Government of Minas Gerais, the State Coordination of Civil Defense (Cedec) penned a statement confirming that the 28-year-old victim had exited a vehicle after the storm flooded it.

In the video, Martins and her husband, Wallison Lima, are seen clinging to the car as deep, rushing waters surround them. An unidentified woman who poked out of a nearby window attempted to help the couple by extending a ladder toward them.

The video showed the woman struggling to reach Lima and Martins as they grappled with the strong current. In the caption penned above the video post, Noticias RNN contextualized the situation at hand in Portuguese.
Loosely translated into English, the outlet’s message clarified that while Lima was rescued, Martins was not.
Soon after the tragedy ensued, Lima took to Instagram Stories to express his devastation after having lost his beloved wife. He shared a beautiful photo of the duo, where he was seen smiling widely with his arm around Martins, who smirked and pouted for the camera.
