Mike and Hayley Jones never thought they’d have so many kids. Even though they already had two sons, they decided to adopt two more kids. Hayley used to work as a teacher at a school.
One day, she found out that one of her students was adopted from Sierra Leone, and her dad had started an orphanage there.
The kind couple adopted eight children from an orphanage to keep them together.
They brought the eight kids—seven boys and one girl—whose mother couldn’t take care of them, to the orphanage.
So, all of their adopted children came from the same place.
To prevent the kids from being separated, the nice couple decided to adopt all eight. Now, Hayley’s life has changed a lot. She’s always busy with chores like cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, and taking care of the children.
At first, she was really tired, but she got used to being a mom over time. Their children are of different ages, from 5 to 16. The government gave them $10,000 to help out, and many people also offer support.
For kids who grew up in a poor family, the Joneses’ two-story home feels like a paradise.
The kids have settled into their new lives, and the older ones have started going to school.
Hayley quit her job because she needed to take care of their 10 children.
