Mom Disowns Daughter after She Adopts Blind Baby Not Knowing Boy Will Become Rich — Story of the Day

Her parents disowned Sienna after adopting a blind boy from a shelter. Years later, Sienna’s parents would need help from the very boy they rejected.

Sienna was very shy as a child, and she struggled to make friends. So, when she met Jenny, it was one of her greatest childhood joys.

Jenny and Sienna were from completely different worlds. Jenny was from a poor family, while Sienna was from a wealthy family. They met by complete chance at a park one day and instantly clicked. Jenny was always an outcast, but Sienna made her feel she had a place in the world.

They became best friends, meeting at the park every day after school. Sometimes Sienna would walk Jenny home, and it grieved her to see their impoverished living conditions. She didn’t understand why some people had to live in poverty while people like her had more than they needed.

Sienna’s heart was broken when, one day, she learned that Jenny would be going into foster care. Jenny’s mom and dad’s parental rights were revoked by the state because they couldn’t afford to provide the necessary living conditions for raising their child.

Sienna desperately wished she could help her friend. She didn’t want to lose her, but she was powerless. Jenny soon moved into foster care in another city; Sienna was shattered. She tried to find Jenny, but her efforts were in vain.

Years later, when Sienna was all grown and married, she decided she would adopt a baby even though she was able to have one of her own. She figured it was her duty to help provide a child with better living conditions and opportunities. However, her parents were against it.

“Adoption? Are you out of your mind, Sienna? You can’t just bring in a random from the streets into our family!” her mother yelled as Sienna tried to explain her wishes.

The caretaker at the shelter explained that nobody wanted to adopt him, which only made her want to adopt him more. He was an outcast, just like her Jenny.
