American singer and actor Shaun Cassidy was a teen heartthrob in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He then started his own family and has sons who look just like him. Recently, he has turned to his children for comfort.
Cassidy’s brother passed away suddenly almost ten years ago, and he turned to his children to help him overcome the grief. He still spends time with his sons and enjoys being around them.

Cassidy was born to famous parents, Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy. Cassidy’s parents were actors with extensive careers in Hollywood, so he grew up around the limelight and followed in his parent’s footsteps.
In his teens and early adulthood, Cassidy became Joe Hardy of “The Hardy Boys.” Recently, Cassidy gave a rare interview in which he talked about his time on “The Hardy Boys” and what it meant to him.
The show premiered in January 1977, quickly catapulting Cassidy to fame and becoming a teen idol. He became all the more famous when he released his first song, his single “Da Doo Ron Ron.”

Cassidy believes that the reason the show, which premiered 46 years ago today, is still talked about almost five decades later is that the boys had an endearing quality and acted like adults. In contrast, the actual adults looked on, confused.
Another thing that people are still talking about all these years later is the boys’ hair. Cassidy joked that the secret to having such fabulous hair was wigs. However, he also said they used a lot of hairspray in their hair. He quipped:
“And we could be in a windstorm, and it wouldn’t move.”

However, when the show finally ended, Cassidy said it was sudden. Yet he was not disappointed that the show ended. He said he was driven by money and wanted to do bigger things than the show.
He did not leave the show when it was still running because he felt that if he left, his audience would never forgive him, and he would have no chance in Hollywood. When the show finally ended, though, Cassidy said there weren’t many movies waiting for him.
Now, he is in his 60s...
