On the November 27, 2024, episode, Kelly shared how her son came to be behind the microphone. She noted that the recorded episode occurred on their day off from school so they attended it together.
She said, amidst laughter, that Remy, “Walked right in today and said, ‘Who do I need to speak to to sing my song?’ I said, ‘OK, sir.'”
In the short clip posted on Instagram, Remy was seen warming up the audience before the show started with Frank Sinatra’s song, “My Way.” Kelly’s band backed him up as he sang, “I planned each charted course. Each careful step along the byway. And more, much more than this. I did it my way.”
The camera then cut off to the audience, including Kelly Clarkson’s daughter River, cheering. While online users were impressed by his singing, they were most captivated by how much he looked like his mom.
